Product Use
The GGD-type AC low-voltage switchgear is suitable for power distribution systems in power plants, substations, industrial and mining enterprises, and other power users. It operates at 50 Hz AC, with a rated working voltage of 380 V and a rated working current up to 1500 A, and is used for the conversion, distribution, and control of electrical energy in power, lighting, and distribution equipment.
The GGD-type AC low-voltage switchgear is a new type of low-voltage switchgear designed in accordance with the standards set by the Ministry of Energy, as well as the requirements of power users and design departments, based on the principles of safety, economy, rationality, and reliability. This product features high breaking capacity, excellent dynamic and thermal stability, flexible electrical configurations, convenient combination options, strong series compatibility and practicality, novel structural design, and high protection levels. It can be used as a replacement and upgrade product for low-voltage complete switchgear systems.
The GGD-type AC low-voltage switchgear complies with standards such as IEC 60439 “Low-Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies” and GB 7251 “Low-Voltage Switchgear Assemblies.”
Terms of Use
1. The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40℃ nor fall below -5℃. The average temperature over 24 hours shall not exceed +35℃.
2. For indoor installation and use, the altitude of the installation location must not exceed 2000 meters.
3. The relative humidity of the surrounding air shall not exceed 50% when the ambient temperature reaches a maximum of +40℃. At lower temperatures, a higher relative humidity is permissible (e.g., up to 90% at +20℃). It should be noted that temperature fluctuations may occasionally lead to condensation.
4. During equipment installation, the tilt angle relative to the vertical plane shall not exceed 5°.
5. The equipment should be installed in locations free from severe vibrations and impacts, as well as in environments that do not cause corrosion to electrical components.

Structural features
1. The enclosure of the GGD-type AC low-voltage switchgear adopts a universal cabinet design. Its frame is assembled by local welding of 8MF cold-formed steel sections. The frame components and specialized matching parts are supplied by designated steel manufacturers to ensure the precision and quality of the cabinet. The components of the universal cabinet are designed based on modular principles and feature 20 standardized mounting holes, resulting in a high degree of commonality. This allows factories to carry out prefabrication, thereby shortening the production and manufacturing cycle and improving work efficiency.
2. The GGD cabinet design fully takes into account the heat dissipation issue during cabinet operation. The cabinet is equipped with a varying number of ventilation slots at both the top and bottom ends. Once the electrical components inside the cabinet generate heat, the hot air rises and is exhausted through the upper slots, while cool air continuously flows in from the lower slots. This creates a natural ventilation channel that runs from the bottom to the top within the sealed cabinet, thereby achieving effective heat dissipation.
3. In accordance with the design requirements for modern industrial products, the GGD cabinet’s exterior shape and the dimensions of its various components are designed using the golden ratio, giving the entire cabinet a beautiful, elegant, and completely refreshed appearance.
4. The cabinet doors are connected to the frame by pivot-type movable hinges, making installation and removal convenient. A U-shaped plastic strip is embedded along the outer edges of the door’s folded sections. When the door is closed, this embedded strip undergoes a certain amount of compression between the door and the frame, effectively preventing direct impact between the door and the cabinet body and enhancing the door’s protection level.
5. The instrument door equipped with electrical components is connected to the frame using multi-strand soft copper wire. The mounting components inside the cabinet are connected to the frame by knurled screws, forming a complete grounding protection circuit for the entire cabinet.
6. The cabinet’s topcoat is a polyester-based baked paint with strong adhesion and a fine texture. The entire cabinet features a matte finish, which eliminates glare and creates a more comfortable visual environment for on-duty personnel.
7. The top cover of the cabinet can be removed when necessary, facilitating the assembly and adjustment of the main busbar on-site. Lifting loops are installed at the four corners of the cabinet top for lifting and transportation.
